Avoid at All cost
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building is gated
Cons:
Landlord rents out the apartment to you and demands to still take possession of much closet space within the apartment, leaving you with less storage space. Landlord does not give security deposit back even when there is no damage to the property or no rent due. Landlord demands you pay for any repairs on appliances she owns. Landlord prefers you reach out to her family instead of her for any issues and payments. Landlord is not experience in tenants law protection and will take advantage at all cost.
Advice to owner:
Advice is to not steal from tenants and educate yourself on nyc tenant law protection. She is an inexperience landlord.
