Easy, no-frills apartment

Pros:
The apartments are spacious and sunny, and the roof is an amazing place to hang out. There is a big REAL kitchen space. Live-in super is responsive and fixes stuff when you ask. Trash is on a strict schedule to prevent rats which I appreciate. There are window unit spaces built into the wall so you dont have to sacrifice opening your window all summer.
Cons:
It looks like it hasn't been updated since 1995 despite being "renovated" in 2016. Before we moved in they did not clean the apartment– there was previous tenant's stuff, mold in several places, and loose electrical wiring in the bathroom. The windows would fall off if you opened them. Fortunately they fixed everything when we asked, but make sure you inspect the apartment thoroughly before moving in. Heat distributes a bit unevenly in each room but still works well No buzzer unfortunately but its only a 3-unit building so not a huge issue. Moving through the narrow staircase is a nightmare. Save yourself and hire movers.
