Perfect little one bedroom
Former Tenant
Pros:
Garbage shoot and recycling closet on every floor made taking out the trash so easy. So much closet space and a huge bathroom. Staff at the reception was always friendly with me. Would have to go there to pick up packages. Had starry internet access which was so cheap and worked great in my small unit Roof access during covid Good neighbors
Cons:
Appliances were a little old The heating would get pretty insane. Some units would be miserably hot while my neighbor was freezing. Had some cockroaches but once I got them to seal up the bathroom and under the sink properly it stopped happening. My view faced the grocery store, which was really noisy with trucks and deliveries and glass recycling.

My Cheap Tiny Cute Apartment with A View
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good closet space! Could not hear my neighbors. Great Manhattan skyline view. Sunny rooms. Amazing price. One cockroach in two years (higher floor). Great neighborhood/location. Strong BJH neighborly presence.
Cons:
Small, cramped layout. Heat can be sweltering in winter time. Not allowed to hook up portable dishwasher because of something with the pipes. Had ceiling leak in bathroom once (was taken care of promptly, but still had ugly sagging ceiling). Could always smell neighbors’ cooking. Clothing moths!
Advice to owner:
Doing a pretty good job, but maybe more attention proactively to plumbing and cleaning common spaces. Also, what is the deal with the clothing moths?
