Good building, good tenants, poor management
Pros
- Since the building was built in 2001 it doesn't suffer from a lot of the issues you see in newer, "luxury" buildings. It's very quiet, has good heat and gas stoves - Gas is included so the electric bill is minimal given the gas heat/stove - Good neighbors and a strong internal network - people look out for each other and come together to solve issues - Responsive and kind super - Spacious apartments
Cons
- Management company (Oak Tree Residential) is extremely unresponsive and at times downright rude. Issues are never priority, takes days/weeks/months to even get a response and longer to have them take actions - Hallways/lobby/basement look horrible. These aren't maintained and haven't been updated. Couple that with poor cleaning and damage, they're ugly - Leaks. The roof needs to be replaced and the building refuses to. The top floor suffers from minor leaks - Elevator issues. Since the elevator is old, it stops working occasionally. If this happens later in the week or on a weekend, expect it to be down for days as management does not care - Laundry room issues - expensive machines that break constantly. Management pushes you to the company that manages them, that company pushes you to management
Advice to the owners
Take issues seriously
