An absolute nightmare
Former Tenant
Pros:
The amount of space, not much noise pollution.
Cons:
Firstly, the basement attached to our apartment was being illegally rented. Not only was it insane they could walk up the stairs and just enter our apartment, but they also controlled our heat!! And turned it down all winter since they resided by the boilers. We also had to share a mailbox/address with this unit. To top it all off, we had mold in our apartment and the landlord sent over a “specialist” to tell us it was just dirt from our bodies that collected on the walls and ceilings since we didn’t bleach them (I’m sorry, what??) The upstairs neighbors also told us of their mold infestation. After calling 311 on the landlord, he denied us our right to renew.
Advice to owner:
Get rid of the mold and don’t let the illegal basement unit control someone else’s heat!
