A pleasant building, not a fan of management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall the building is nice, spacious apartments and decent amenities (gym and pool table room).
Cons:
The laundry room consistently had small issues that took a while to get fixed

Starting to go downhill while price hikes go uphill
Former Tenant
Pros:
The amenities (roof, gym), package management, trash management. Maintenance does a great job keeping the place clean and tidy throughout the week. The building is well kept and was well built compared to new buildings in the area that are falling apart after a few years.
Cons:
Management personnel - super rude, biggest attitude, and flat out unresponsive. Unjustified rent hikes in the past 1-2years, meanwhile the laundry machines are breaking and elevators getting people stuck and a constant problem. Someone noted that the area has gotten more sketch - I’ve been harassed, exposed, and threatened by loiterers. Energy rating has gone from an A to a D in recent years. Tenants pay for gas which is not common when renting and adds up. Lockout fees from $200-$500 is crazy. Treadmill has been broken for months too.
Advice to owner:
If you want to heavily raise rents at renewal then justify it by putting that money back into the spaces tenants use the most (laundry, elevators, gym equipment).

Good building for area but getting expensive
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amenities, security, and laundry in basement, despite one or two always broken. The building is well maintained and always clean.
Cons:
No option to get in the building without a fob (with a code or phone access). Lockout fee of $200 and $500 on holidays is insane. Only way to pay for anything is via check only. Difficult to plan if out of town on the 1st. The neighborhood has gotten more sketch - more people loitering outside and under scaffolding. Exposed men and used needles all over the sidewalk surrounding the building and scaffolding, yet they want to charge $1000+ over the past 2-3 years. Also management is rude - don’t expect timely responses or never get someone at the office window.
Advice to owner:
Stop raising rents without major incentives to tenants, especially long term residents. Online payment and access code to enter. Or ability to use the stairs to go up when elevators are slow

Not worth what they’re trying to charge
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is a well maintained building. Amenities are okay.
Cons:
The washing machines do not clean as well as front loading machines so the in building laundry will be useless if you have high cleanliness standards. This building has increased rent ridiculous amounts in the past year, pushing longterm residents out. But here’s the thing: usually the neighborhood where a building is located should affect the value of the rent. Here you will find syringes on your walks, and people using hard drugs at all times of the day. I have heard gunshots while walking nearby.
Advice to owner:
Lower your rent prices, and stop price gouging. Get better washing machines. Make the roof 24 hours so people can look at the night sky in relative safety.

Advice to owner:
Get better management.

Solid building and management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location. Newer building. Great upkeep.
Cons:
Super noisy and obnoxious neighbors. Place smelled like a dispensary. Management couldn’t care less.
Advice to owner:
You guys seem to be doing just fine. So it doesn’t really matter what I think or say.

Safe secure & well maintained building
Former Tenant
Pros:
No major issues living here for 3+ years: Mgmt does respond to concerns but sometimes it is slow, building is kept up well, packages are brought to your door, decent gym and roof space, no pests!
Cons:
Communication with mgmt isn’t great and can be hard to get in touch so you have to be persistent.
No online payment option for rent. Laundry is dated and requires coins.
Advice to owner:
Upgrade laundry facilities and increase communication between mgmt and residents
