Expensive utilities, washer dryer and appliances break often, CONSTANTLY flooding, I got a bunch of mold from all the flooding and management just painted over it. The commercial space has what I’m sure are a bunch of illegal businesses running through that disturb the neighbors. A bunch of bike and car gangs live on this block and are fighting/shooting each other so even though the apartment units themselves are sturdy, if you’re facing the street you’ll never get peace. Every spring we get ants and roaches, possibly due to the flooding. Gets pretty hot in the summer.
Advice to owner:
Just fix the flooding problem, stop painting over it, stop gaslighting the residents when we say there’s an ant problem

Don’t live here!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lovely neighbors, nearby community gardens
Cons:
Don’t be fooled by the promise of a rent-stabilized space or amenities like in-unit washing— do NOT live here. First floor business space has had multiple super loud/dangerous businesses come through it, including a club with a PA system, and a woodshop not zoned for a residential space (think drilling sounds from 8am-7pm and chemical smells every day). The landlord will totally scam you— you won’t get your security deposit back. During my many-years long time there, one resident of the building did not have a working dryer or oven almost the entire time, and they refused to fix it. They also tried to charge another resident for an air conditioning unit that the resident had replaced with their own money. I don’t know anyone who got their full security deposit back who lived in the building. It’s not worth your money, time, peace of mind, or health and safety. Go somewhere else.
