Landlord is very shady
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location and convenience
Cons:
The building owner has illegally removed apartments from rent-stabilization, defrauding tenants of the benefits the landlord is supposed to provide in exchange for receiving 421-a tax abatement. Communication about repairs was poor at times. The landlord also refused to comply with the law regarding security deposit.
Advice to owner:
Comply with the law.

Tolerable but not great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to public transit is unbeatable
Cons:
Our basement perpetually flooded, and management failed to do anything to address it for the full year that we lived in the apartment.
Advice to owner:
Flooding is an emergency and should be treated like one.
