get what you pay for
Former Tenant
Pros:
jacuzzi tubs and balconies, good proximity to a lot of train lines, friendly enough neighbors, parking spots are available, inexpensive
Cons:
some of the units are high turnover so it can be a crapshoot as to who your neighbor is, thin walls between units (but thick between bedrooms), busy intersection so there's quite a few car accidents, no soundproofing at all from street noise - music from cars can feel like it's playing inside the apartment so summers can be tough.
Landlord is unresponsive at best. This is a very get-what-you-pay-for type situation. Do not expect any kind of quick fixes to your requests or tickets, do not expect any kind of maintenance, do not expect anything. Tried to make us pay for parking even though we don't own a car (and then other people WITH cars didn't have to pay to park?!) Get everything in writing and keep a record of everything if you're living in one of these properties.
