Super is Good, Management Company Sucks
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is maintained well. There is a live in super who is responsive to requests. Walls are thick and we hardly ever hear noise from neighbors. Bedrooms and living area are very spacious compared to the rest of Brooklyn. Close to the train. Rent is stabilized. Pets are welcome on a case by case basis.
Cons:
At times garbage piles up. There have been infestations of flies from time to time. The management company never responds. Our super often has to pay for items to repair units out of pocket and has expressed it takes a long time to be reimbursed. Repairs can take a while because either the super is fronting the bill or management takes months to provide the equipment to the super to make a repair.
Advice to owner:
Provide a better method of communication.

Wonderful resident experience after 5 year stint
Former Tenant
Pros:
I lived in this building for five years. The apartment itself was beautiful -- spacious, lots of big windows, updated cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. The laundry in the building was also usually very clean and well managed. I very rarely had an issues with pests since the management sent an exterminator around once a month for optional treatments. Super was also very responsive and fixed things within a reasonable time frame.
Cons:
The only con of living here, and it's not necessarily management's fault: our packages kept getting stolen. Such is the risk of living in a building without a door attendant though.
Advice to owner:
Keep it up, especially the pest control!

Clean enough not bad
Former Tenant
Pros:
When we left we realized how good it actually was.
Cons:
U can smell everything your neighbor cooks and hear everything they listen to which is annoying. Neighbors were interesting…

Great super, building management sub par
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is wonderful. Building brand new. Close to subway.
Cons:
There is a common area and outdoor area that is off limits to residents. Management has not placed signs in common areas or distributed literature to residents to wear masks. The building is new enough to have washer/dryer units in each apt but instead 50 apts are supposed to share 4 washers and 4 dryers. The elevator (there is only one) breaks down frequently. If anything happens in the hallway you can hear it loudly in your apt.
Advice to owner:
Either allow use of common areas or turn it into a larger laundry space with more washers and dryers. Give residents option to have washer/dryer units in their apt bathrooms. PUT UP LITERATURE AND COMMUNICATE TO RESIDENTS: tell them they need to wear masks in all common areas and in the elevator.

Great Renting Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is pretty quiet. There isn’t lot of movement.
Cons:
The hallways and elevators could be sweeped/mopped a little more regularly.
