Nice building, annoying policies

Pretty nice apartment building, great location, AMAZING and under-used rooftop view
Cons:
The main annoying thing about this building is their policy around guests / key access - they wouldn't let me leave my keys for guests with the doorman. That is literally the entire point of a doorman, to make it so I don't need to be home. It was infuriating.
Advice to owner:
Change this policy.
