Good apartment with nice finishes

Pros:
The units are very nice with good finishes. Looks neat and well built at first glance
Cons:
There are some electrical curiosities in the unit. Some of the fixtures do not work unless all of the light switches are on. This wouldn’t be a big deal in an old building but this building is fairly new and makes you wonder what other corners may have been cut. Also there is water damage in the ceiling from the unit above. Build quality could be a little better for the price.

Bad management ruins what could be a nice building

Pros:
Nice balconies on back of building
Roof used to be nice when I first moved in
Spacious units with good light
Cons:
Packages are stolen
Front door doesn't lock properly
Apartments look nice but were finished as cheaply as possible
Every maintenance request is a long, disorganized, frustrating battle
Management is unresponsive and often condescending. I dread calling or emailing when something breaks because I know it will be a huge ordeal.
Roof used to be nice with furniture and it was clean but now all the furniture is gross and broken and there are loose tiles and other hazards
Advice to owner:
Invest in your units, keep amenities up to date, respond to your tenants

Pros:
Newer building and nice layout of apartments. Laundry room usually has available machines.
Cons:
Maintenance requests are not always fixed.

The building is new and in a great location
Cons:
You pay for a gym that cannot be used due to broken machines and safety issues. Packages are stolen daily and the front door can easily be rattled open. The owner does not respond.
Advice to owner:
Fix the doors, upgrade the gym and respond to requests.

- apartments more expensive than it’s worth
- cheaply redone
- leaking doors and windows
- laundry room poorly maintained
- packages stolen frequently
