Do not move here, seriously.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rooftop view, washer dryer in unit, doorman, package room.
Cons:
Management is unresponsive and disrespectful. In the 10 months that I’ve lived here, I’ve had an ongoing leak in my bathroom ceiling for 8 months. The gym has been closed for 5 months due to mold. My rent has not been reduced due to any of these issues. Multiple tenants have complained about leaks, mold, broken heaters amongst other things. In my six years of living in New York City, I’ve never experienced this before.
Advice to owner:
Have some human decency

Cons:

Don't trust the sheen
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall nice building, astounding rooftop views of Manhattan.
Cons:
Owner/management are slow to deal with serious apartment issues, including flooding, mold, etc. For years they were entirely unresponsive. More recently things have become only slightly better.

Sometimes feels like living in a dorm
Former Tenant
Pros:
The people who work on-site in this building (porter, front desk, super) are wonderful. Very kind, helpful, and responsive. The location of the building is so convenient to grocery stores, the subway, and lots of great bars and restaurants, and even though it sits on a corner of two relatively busy streets, it's pretty quiet. Barely any hallway noise.
Cons:
Building maintenance is an issue. The grills on the rooftop haven't worked in 2 years, quite a bit of the furniture up there is broken or missing. The treadmills in the gym have been out of order for over 6 months. Additionally, there are some shady characters that hang around the building, typically in the parking garage next door, but sometimes on the roof or in the basement lounge. There are also frequently large parties on the roof.
Advice to owner:
There should be tighter control on building visitors and better maintenance.

Monarch Reslty group and super do not care to fix anything
Former Tenant
Pros:

Cons:

Advice to owner:
Need to change

Great Starter Apartment in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management no keeps the main common areas clean and well maintained but rooftop can be cleaner in terms of washing the cushions (they seem like they’ve been left out in the rain). The views from the rooftop are probably one of the best amenities otherwise. Overall a good place to live in, neighbors are quiet during the week with the occasional loud parties on the weekends. Trash management is timely and well kept and the super is super friendly and awesome at letting you know that your packages arrived.
Cons:
No major cons sticking out yet

Building overview
Former Tenant
Pros:
elevator building with stunning city views from the rooftop
Cons:
overpriced. Building was made on a budget and owner cut corners. The building was only open for 2 years before we moved in and hot water heater switchbox set on fire (we were told by those who fixed it that it was the wrong one but the cheapest one which is why our landlord purchased it). Hazard! Then we had a roach issue, and MASSIVE leaks in the building. Flooding everything, including a room in our unit. Floors swelled with the water. This was from rain, which shows the building was not properly sealed/built.
Advice to owner:
Fix these problems.
