Easy Living Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Nice doormen
- Solid gym
- Modern apartments
Cons:
The one time the elevators were out was really tough. > 20 flights!
Great building, too much construction
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pet friendly, no pet fees no broker fees. Corner units have nice views
Cons:
Lots of construction on the sides/back of the building and I mean A LOT. NO rent reductions for all this construction even though it's happening right next to the property. My entire window is concealed because of the new building and pretty sure it will be unusable by the time they're done. Management can be picky and a little annoying. They will enforce some rules and not others. They will lose checks and email you saying they never recieved rent.

Pretty great first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
- cleanliness
- safe area
- nice doorman
- amenities
Cons:
- management tells you they’re fixing something, they will but it will break again

Loved being here!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is stellar. Very clean and good wifi in common areas. Elevators are fast and front desk people are super nice. Nothing wrong with the units themselves either. Heating and AC are very reliable, and laundry in unit is a BIG plus. Gym in the basement is very nice and bike storage is a huge help.
Cons:
The location is close to everything, but is a bit of a dead zone when it comes to neighborhood identity. There’s nothing downstairs, and your view is either the BQE or new construction, although the windows block out any noise.

Very nice building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subways, Brooklyn bridge park is close by. Apartment seemed new and clean
Cons:
Gym is a bit small and in the basement

Cost cutting
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is a newer building. Washer dryer and full size appliances in all units. The views of Manhattan skyline from rooftop lounge are great.
Cons:
Building is not well built. Obvious they rushed to move some tenants in to start collecting rent because apartments on lower floors have flaws/cheaply finished e.g. wood floors not well laid. There has also been a lot of cost cutting recently which led to the owner replacing Greystar as management for a small local company that has not managed a building as big as Amberly before. This is recent and so far it has not been off to a great start.
Advice to owner:
Stop cutting costs. It will only lead to property decline and tenants leaving for other buildings.

Great building to live in
Former Tenant
Pros:
New, clean and quiet. Rent is also very reasonable compared with quality.
Cons:
Management could be more responsive but overall good attitude
