Lovely Building, I'd Move Back If I Could
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator building with amenities like laundry in building, bike room, community room and apartments include a virtual doorman, dishwasher and the ability to control the heat/ac in each room. The apartment designs are nice and management is pretty responsive (at least when I lived there).
Cons:
There weren't enough washer/dryers for the units and people who lived there and the dryers didn't work well.

Don’t waste your time, landlord from hell!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood is nice and has some convenient shops close by.
Your packages arrive in the main entrance but it’s pretty trusting.
Neighbors try to leave their unwanted goodies on the entry of the building, although the super does not allow it and considers it “trash” and will throw it away anyways.
Cons:
Oh my word, where should I even start!!
The landlord is a c***. Overall she will almost never answer your emails or concerns. You will not get any results in a timely manner. She is a liar and will do anything to keep your deposit. When it came to moving out, she was threatening me and was trying to force me into letting a broker show the apartment while I was still living in it (during lock down due to Covid-19). She tried to charge me thousands of dollars because she is a scammer! Do not fall for her tricks, she tried to send me a huge bill 2 months after I moved out with no prior warning and after we had already spoken over email saying all was good. She threatened with a huge bill and said that I needed to pay it within 7 days. Completely illegal and wrong!
The building is filthy!! The stairways are full of spiderwebs and dust. Not healthy conditions to inhale. The super cleans the hallways with dirty mop water that does not go away fast. It’s an awful smell that travels through.
The windows are odd small windows that do not open normally. The handle easily breaks and the landlord will not ever get it working. No good air circulation.
The apartment is very small. You do not have privacy with roommates because of the small space and layout. No closet space!! Very expensive and not worth it.
False advertisement on the amenities, there is absolutely no roof top access because they do not allow it. If caught, you will be threatened with a fine. Landlord told me that it’s unfinished flooring and not meant to be used for tenants. No free parking, they charge extra $300/ month.
The building has major issues in the garbage room during the summer months. There are flies literally everywhere! They even get inside of your apartment, extremely annoying to deal with. The smell of the garbage is overwhelming.
The natural lighting in the apartment is very dim. If you put the lights on, the apartment is way too bright.
The electricity is very very high. You have no gas in the apartment. All is electrical and you will be paying a good amount every month all year around.
Sometimes the electricity goes off during the summer, it takes 24 hrs to get it back on.
The walls are very dark gray. She will make you purchase the paint and make you paint the walls again before moving out. They are eggshell finish so they will get ruined without a question due to its unforgiving nature.
The super is rude and they will annoy you at your door to tell you off about anything minor.
The landlord threatens tenants often about anything minor.
My advice is to please keep looking elsewhere!! I regret ever living in this building.
Advice to owner:
Don’t lie and try to scam people/ tenants. Do your job well and provide acceptable customer service. Be present and inspect the building more often. Clean the building.

Meh don’t move here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very Nice block
Cons:
No signage about masks or prep for Covid. Very expensive, apt are small, only 3 washing machines for 29 apartments. 1 washing machine has been broken for months. The dryers don’t dry clothes. Wall are thin you can hear and smell everything. Everything is electricity — the bills are estimated and very high. Tenants are responsible for the majority of wear and tear — plumbing microwave & dishwasher. There is one light that controls the living room kitchen and hallway. Mgt is non responsive. Feels like a dorm it’s really noisy
Advice to owner:
Invest in the property... rent is so high amenities are so limited ...

DONT LIVE HERE Property Manager (Susan) is Sociopathic
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry room from floors 2-4 The building is clean overall Cameras everywhere Packages are safe and never stolen There is a bike room There is a parking garage you’ll need to pay for if you want to use There is plenty of street parking available The neighborhood is friendly A few blocks from the J train 12 minutes from the AC train
Cons:
*I left the place spotless and it has been two months and they have not returned my deposit. Additional to that, the property manager Susan, is ignoring my emails.*
3 washer for 29 units Walls are thin. You can hear your neighbor sigh. Appliances are all petite size. You’re allowed to go on the huge roof but you can’t bring anything up there. No chairs. No tables. No BBQ. No nothing. Management is passive aggressive The walls of every unit is gray I was tricked into committing to the lease. I was apartment hunting and the agent told me I can get the unit for a certain price. I declined offers from other apartments to apply for this one and Anna, the agent at the time, said the price will be $300 more than what she promised me. By then it was too late to consider other offers and I had no other choice but to move here.
