Typical new-build issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Responsive to maintenance requests, generally kept clean, parking available
Cons:
Noisy neighbors, shoddy building construction (bottom of a balcony above fell apart and landed on our balcony)

Crappy construction and bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartments themselves are nice—the building is not
Cons:
Paper thin walls, 1st floor window smashed in in early 2024 (and not fully repaired for far too long), bug problem (not addressed until it was too late, despite tenant complaints), loud tenants, dim hallways, generally an unpleasant place to live
Advice to owner:
Invest in exterminators BEFORE it's a problem and listen to your tenants

Gentrifier chic bushwick
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like the gym, laundry access, elevator, rooftop, cleaners come by weekly for common areas
Cons:
Ground floor units don’t have safety bars on the windows and we were told they weren’t able to be added due to fire code

Terrible management, rude super, nice amenities, good location and cheap rent...
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice amenities and cheap rent
Cons:
The management company is one of the worst in Brooklyn and the super doesn't do anything to help any tenant.
Advice to owner:
DO BETTER

Cheap, rude management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is beautiful, the building has amenities, the location is ideal.
Cons:
Landlord takes you for everything you got. They have failed to return my security deposit to me over a month after move-out. They are unresponsive and unhelpful with things like getting locked out or maintenance issues. They charge you for everything they can and don't care if it's unreasonable.
Advice to owner:
Don't be so cheap, people are more than just a bank account. Have a heart.

Typical new construction
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management has been responsive to repair requests (e.g., fixing front door lock issues). Common areas are cleaned once a week.
Cons:
The sanitation department can make a mess out front on trash days and it’s rarely cleaned up. There used to be a lot of stolen package issues due to a poorly built front door, but those issues seem to be remedied with better security measures and a new package room.
