Overpriced, no heat, fire station noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
nice sized kitchen. The landlord let me out of my lease when I had a family emergency and had to suddenly move out of state. Decent location - near a lot in LIC.
Cons:
This bldg is a few feet away from a fire station. When I first visited, the landlord&broker both told me the trucks were not allowed to turn on their sirens until they were past the street. NOT TRUE. It is a very active fire station and the sirens will run all day and night. It drove me insane. They also told me there was no planned construction and very shortly after moving in, construction started next door and was loud - no break on rent for it. I also lived without heat for several months in the dead winter, which was miserable and also drove up my electric bill bc I had to run space heaters, and the landlord refused to make any rent concessions. Also had a lot of problems with mail delivery.
Advice to owner:
Lower your rent, you aren’t worth the amount of money you charge. And fix the heat when it breaks!
