Four decades experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized apartments.
Cons:
Lack of care for the building overall.
Advice to owner:
You don’t need to necessarily invest a lot of money but scrape the old paint and repaint nicely. Easy and doesn’t cost much. Add a way to pay rent digitally. Checks are a waste of money. Update your systems. Also answer emails more frequently. Sometimes it’s hard to get through by email.
My family moved in the late 70’s. This app won’t allow me to choose way back then lol.

The life of a tenant
Former Tenant
Pros:
Huge lobby area and larger elevator than some other buildings
Cons:
Small apartments. Older years designs and style. Bulging walls from past water damages
Advice to owner:
More modern apartments please.

Growing up in this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are none
Cons:
Owner pays shit salary and hires supers who don’t give a damn. I have personally witnessed owner steal from my father. Owner only looks for immigrants who won’t make a stand or are threatened with eviction. When a tenant leaves, owner hikes the rent and a non English speaking tenant comes in who doesn’t know any better as to the housing regulations.
Advice to owner:
None.....he doesn’t care for his properties....just wants to collect money.
