Loved my time here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious, clean, safe, great neighborhood, super was great, great payment portal
Cons:
Very loud, heat was very hot in the winter and unable to turn off, owners not very responsive to noise complaints
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive to noise complaints about neighbors.

Fine for what it is
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is delightful, and people in building are generally friendly. Layout of our unit was great. Building is very convenient on 36th Ave, one block from N/W line.
Cons:
In early days of pandemic a new neighbor moved in who is among the loudest and rudest people I've ever lived around in the city. We asked landlord to intervene but they did nothing with any teeth. My sense is the landlord will side with whoever is paying more rent. Renters have no rights to liveable space during reasonable hours.
Advice to owner:
I'm supposed to advise a corporation that owns 30+ buildings in the city? Uh, care about your tenants.

Great building with great maintenance
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building management was solid, and the super was always responsive. Building was very clean. Apartments were very spacious.
Cons:
Water pressure was a little lacking and it was on a busy street. No laundry or elevator.
Advice to owner:
Excellent building and upkeep, would live in again!

Fine building, landlords are terrible
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fantastic location.
My particular apartment had a door to the street so it felt very house-like rather than apartment. Super is very responsive. Minimal pest issues. My layout was fantastic and an incredible value, but I’m pretty sure that was unique to my unit. Rent stabilized.
Cons:
New owners came in and tried to raise everyone’s rent at least $300-500/month. I’m still waiting on a court verdict on my overcharge case because of it. They uprooted all of the gorgeous plants outside around the building that gave it character and charm. They never sign their emails so you communicate with a nameless email address. I get the sense the owners put a lot of pressure on the super which is sometimes taken out on the tenants. Since the new owners took over, my renewal leases have never been correct on the first try. My first renewal lease was a market rate lease even though the apartment was rent stabilized. During the pandemic, they put in an increase after the rent freeze. They’re quick to re-issue the correct papers, but it requires a lot of attention by the tenant.
Advice to owner:
Treat the tenants
