Worst experience ever in US
Former Tenant
Pros:
No pros to be honest
Cons:
Worst rent experience ever in US, be careful!
Owner doesn’t care anything expect rent, I’m gonna list my bad experiences with pictures in my one and half year leaving here, all these are truth and I will be responsible for what I am gonna said.
1. Owner John doesn’t care anything, what he do is collect rent every month. My car got hit twice under the building in front of the BUILDING DOOR and CAMERA, it took me almost $2000 to fix those big dents and scratch. I wanna check who did it and report to insurance. I gave John two happening night time period first time got hit and the exact happening night second time got hit, first time John said two nights was too long to check, when I ask him to check, he said help me to check it but no response later.(I doubt he checked it). Same for the second time, he said help me check it but no response too.
2. When my first day in the apartment, the super who also in charge of the other building tell me u got disassemble all packages boxes before u drop them into the trash room because he manage two buildings and he’s gonna very tired to do it. So I disassemble all boxes into pieces before dropping boxes into trash room for 1.5 year which it’s not my work and I paid for it .
3. Two of those neighbors are very weird and not friendly at all. 2f are Korean couple, the Korean women is very crazy and mad sometime. I showed friendly and say hi every time, and their cat once come out in the hallway, they didn’t notice cat was miss. I knocked the door and sent cat in, they don’t even say thank you. The other time the Korean women quarrel with me because I parked my car at the street parking and don’t move often. Its covid-19out there!, I only used my car every one or two weeks, why should I move it when I don’t use it. it’s street park, every one can park how long he want. (Some of the neighbors are not moving cars for years, but they don’t dare to argue with them). second time is once a taxi wanna park one of the street parking, Korean couple don’t let the taxi park, and they hold there for 20mins and called 911! 😂 Korean women said taxi can’t park here because they don’t move often, taxi took theirs space. Crazy women be careful!
4. The other weird and unfriendly neighbors is 3R which is my neighbors, I send the gift when I first day living in, and in early COVID-19, every one want masks but have no places to buy it, everyplace is out of stock, I gave them one box of masks. They said no thank you, and every time we meet the women say hi, she just ignore us. The thing piss me of is when the day I leaving, I ask a friend to help me move bed to downstairs, she open the door said, plz don’t talk in my door , u guys go out to talk(which is also my door, our door is one feet distance, and we only talked like 3min) because she wanna sleep in 11am morning! She also don’t work, stay at home every day, she’s like selling staff at eBay, and she run to downstairs and upstairs no matter how late it is, she always run down and upstairs in the night, and the noise wakes my new born-baby up. She’s run like few times up and down no matter late night or day time.
5. The building nearby environment is noise, not quite at all, my new born baby alway got woke up because nearby noise, the opposite street in front of our building are two car fix shop, one of these shop fix motorcycles which are very noise and they just fix the motorcycle 3 to 4times a week and made very big noise!!
6. The garage of our building are rent to a company, they parked car in our building, BUT they pick up the car at 5 or 6am early morning!!! and the garage door is very noisy, the sound is very loud and the building can feel shake, I’m living in 3rd floor can still feel it, 3-5 times a week.can’t sleep in the mornings!!
7. When My first leash end, which is in COVID-19 every building drop their rent for hundreds dollars, but our apartment keep the same rent fee as before.

also,my deposit is $2700, we didnt break anything and almost cleaned everything except kitchen before leaving, and he only gave me $800 back, and took me more than a month to get the deposit to me, ( i asked few times and he just find excuses not giving me because I’m back to China), when i ask to see the details he said next time in office, but same no response later. He eat $2100 deposit lmao!

8. There are some bad experiences I can’t remember, but this is the worst rent experience in my life, I’m not happy at all living here . The reason I’m not moving to a new apartment is because I’m leaving the country soon and COVID-19 and new born baby. this is a nightmare place to live, at least for me and my wife and my baby, BE CAREFUL!!!!!!, also no heat!! Very cold in winter and air conditioner always broken and took days to fix
Advice to owner:
U can’t just make money and don’t care of residents
