The Apartment it self is nice, but area is LOUD
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient location to commute into Manhattan, close to multiple train lines.
Cons:
The noise from the street is unbearable, from 6am to 8pm, you will hear nonstop honking, breaks squealing, and the occasional screaming. There is literally a GRID LOCK most days on the intersection of Crescent and 41st Avenue, making it dangerous for pedestrians to cross blocked crosswalks and intersections. There is never a police presence there to help with that. A migrant shelter opened up next door (a lot of people loitering on the streets with rows and rows of mopeds) and two large buildings are being built on both ends of the block. Lots of scaffolding blocks the sidewalk and construction trucks create even My neighbor also loves to smoke cigarettes in his unit, making the common hallway wreak like an ashtray. Management hasn't done anything after many many complaints.
Advice to owner:
enforce the non smoking ban.

Ups and downs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet building. Good front desk staff. Very good at handling packages and deliveries. If something breaks down, the service team is quick to get in-apartment problems fixed.
Cons:
Laundry room is a mess. Machines often don’t work or have been broken down for years. You can only blame COVID for so long. Property management does not respond to messages, no matter how urgent the issue. Significant amount of construction was done, all to raise our rent.
Advice to owner:
Get laundry machines fixed or better yet replace them. Sending tenants to different buildings is not a solution.

Don’t do it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good water pressure. Fitness center. New building. Laundry.
Cons:
It’s located right on a street that feeds onto the Queensboro Bridge. There is nothing but honking ALL day.
Advice to owner:
Soundproof windows.

Great, convenient place
Former Tenant
Pros:
- desk staff was always very friendly - quick response times to maintenance needs - convenient location - great rooftop - neighbors were quiet
Cons:
- crescent street is loud, especially in the morning - the washers and dryers didn’t always work (there would be only one out of four working)
