Great building terrible location on 21st street
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the apartment, it was recently renovated but it’s the only one in the building to have been renovated and they cut some corners. Close to parks and the river, easy walk to train and buses. Super and his family are awesome and keep the building very clean.
Cons:
Being on 21st street the noise level is very high, constant traffic, sirens, car alarms and trucks in the shopping center are very annoying. We have a balcony but can’t use it much when it’s extra noisy out. The renovation in the apt was done quickly and half assed, but at least it’s updated. Very cold in the winter with the radiator heaters. Don’t believe the broker about roof access, after 2 years we’ve never been allowed up. Many others who have lived here longer haven’t either despite asking for access many times. The super has the key but says he isn’t allowed to unlock it.
Advice to owner:
Be more open to working with tenants when they have changing life situations. Allow tenants to use the roof!
