Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is good
Cons:
Everything was terrible. No heat, no working plumbing, broken stairs, no privacy, no insulation, a real shit show. But the worst part was the landlord who also lives in the building and will make your life a living hell, give you no privacy, monitor your every move and threaten you, scream at you and insult you because she has serious mental issues.. AVOID!!!
Advice to owner:
Get a job

terrible, stay away!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
big space but that's it
Cons:
this was the worst living experience, actually unbelievable how bad this landlord is. she lives in the building and has no job or anything else in her life, so she becomes obsessed with her tenants and watches their every move, comes to their apartments at 9pm or 10pm without giving a reason or any notice, thinks she's entitled to do anything she wants because she's "the owner", accuses you of various false things, is extremely cheap so she doesn't fix anything (broken stairs, broken railings, peeling paint, you name it - oh and forget about heat in the winter). this is a severely mentally ill and VIOLENT person who needs help, so it's best to stay FAR away. she's also very racist and conservative, which leads to uncomfortable conversations. she has a ring camera and will watch you come and go, will memorize your schedule, will watch and judge any guests you have. if you have any complaints she will definitely retaliate and it's extremely scary to witness that. i so wish i had read these reviews before subjecting myself to her inhuman treatment. the apartment itself is pretty shit, so it's def not worth it.

go to a psychiatrist

Worst Landlord in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap rent but beware…..
Cons:
This is the worst landlord you will ever experience in NYC. She is invasive, will come into your apartment unannounced, does not like you to have guests over (in general, not just parties!), she lives on the middle floor and is up at all hours of the night thumping around, will definitely screw you over and try to charge you more money. She will watch you come and go from her window. Do not live here unless you want to feel extremely uncomfortable in your own home (we ended up leaving during our lease contract due to extremely u comfortable situations), oh and hire a good lawyer (I did!)
Advice to owner:
Do not rent out to people. Your personality and attitude cannot be helped.

Absolutely do NOT live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a cheap place to live
Cons:
This is one of the worst landlords you will ever come into contact with in NYC. Creates a hostile living environment and you will not feel comfortable living in your own home.
Advice to owner:
Do not have tenants if you can’t be a reasonable person.
