Roach motel hell
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building cleanliness is maintained well. I usually see the porter mopping daily. Water pressure is great. Package lockers are convenient.
Cons:
The building has a roach infestation. Kitchen cabinets are all peeling. I can hear practically everything from my neighbors upstairs, walking and talking.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the roach problem

I would move back!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building staff is really great—I adore the super and the porters who work in the building. The building is always very clean. I was impressed that the owner spends money on upgrades for the building: they bought new washers and dryers (very nice ones, they have an app that communicates with your phone and all payments can be via the app instead of coins or a laundry card) while I lived there. They also added a package locker. There is a fob for entry at the front door, which is convenient. The apartment was well-maintained and was very clean when we moved in.
Cons:
It's an older building so unless you are on the top floor, you will definitely hear your neighbors walking around over your head. Sometimes it is a little chilly in the winter. They heat the building to the legally required temperature, but not any warmer. The renovations that were done the unit (kitchen and bathroom) were a bit rushed I think; the tile in the bathroom floor was never quite right (floor I believe was not leveled correctly) and the grout crumbled all the time.
Advice to owner:
The folks who redid the bathroom before our move-in didn't do a great job, and we were stuck dealing with their subpar/rushed work for years. Maybe allot more time for improvements in the units between tenants.

Rent with caution!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is very clean and well maintained. The apt at a glance is nice and well built.
Cons:
The so called metered apts that gets charge for all water usage. The $5 a month on a garage roof repair when one doesn’t even drive a car. All these shady ways that make you pay extra cash is well implemented from the super to the building management office. The apt is well appointed but after a few months the quality of the work done shows up. There’s peeling wood paneling in the kitchen etc that are clear signs of a bad patch up work. There’s always an issue with the buzzer and the designated person for the building is both incompetent, rude, and uncooperative. When you call they make it sound like you’re disturbing their busy schedules.
Advice to owner:
Stop trying to get over your tenants and just be fair. You’ve made my stay in the building a nightmare. Your super has a bad attitude, he does nothing but complain and even fabricated complaints from other tenants. He’s a big grumpy mean bully
