Great for rent stabilized
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Quiet except for the above ground subway a block away (you get used to it)
- Location. Love the bar across the street and bakery around the corner. Not too far from the Broadway and with the N close by I can get to Central Park in 15mins
- The pandemic deal I got on rent for my 1 bedroom can’t be beat, and the rent hasn’t gone up at all since.
- Lou the landlord is approachable and seems kind
Cons:
- Water temp when taking a shower can be erratic
- Heat in the winter was not enough. I had to buy a space heater
- Super not very responsive
- Landlord still wants rent in check form which in 2022 is kind of ridiculous
- General wear and tear of an old building. The tiles near my bathtub are coming off
Advice to owner:
- Fix the heat or stop whatever you’re doing to throttle it.
- Let me pay rent through an online portal please I barely even know how to write a check.
