Fine Building, Poor Management

Pros:
This building is in a good location and the apartments are a good size with beautiful hardwood floors.
Cons:
We have had 3 supers in 2 years. There is very poor communication from the management company who are not responsive to maintenance requests. When I have had repairs scheduled, it is hit or miss whether someone actually shows up to do the work. I have also had 3 MCI rent increases since moving in which were not something I budgeted for before moving in. I would not recommend one of their properties if you have a better option.
Advice to owner:
Improve communication and customer service after the lease is signed.

Pros:
cleaner than most nyc apartments
they have people clean twice a week in the lobby / outdoor area
neighbors are very chill and from the ones i have talked to are very nice
good elevator
and is pet friendly, ive seen tons of dogs of all sizes
pretty quite building & area in the neighborhood
laundry in building & a laundromat across the street
right near train
Cons:
had a mice problem
i called many times about it, all they will do is give you sticky traps & come seal any holes yet that only does so much. i ended up getting the old school mouse traps
and in my year here, caught EIGHT - EIGHT MICE and i’m sure there are many more so disgusting. i move out in a month so hopefully i don’t have to kill anymore. in my last 2 months here, tiny roaches started to appear in the kitchen, often coming out of the dishwasher. its quite gross
they are showing up way too often and i keep every thing pretty clean and given where they are coming in from i think it’s a building issue or coming from other apartments maybe

Great super, bad management company

Pros:
Super is really nice and helpful
Cons:
Apartment had cockroaches, was able to get it under control but was not a pleasant experience. Waited 3 months to get a basic repair done in our unit because management ignored all requests.
Advice to owner:
Do a better job of bug proofing apartments before tenants move in and respond to requests.

Thick walls, high ceilings, bright, new kitchen
Cons:
Water was having issues - frequently brown. Related to the block (city) I believe but never got solved. Can’t control heat

First time renter. Not bad!

Pros:
Garbage shoot and wide staircases. All floors are usually very clean! Thick walls, I never hear our neighbors.
Cons:
Elevator has had a shaky history between working/not working. The recyclables will sometimes go more than a week before being taken out. I've been here for a few months and already have had multiple stolen packages.
