Broken old building

Pros:
Relatively quiet if the apartment is facing the backyard and the next door doesn’t have a constantly-barking dog.
Cons:
This 1920s bldg has bad maintenance – the garbage area is often overloaded, the backyard is swiped twice a year, so things are scattered, and they don’t care. Often packages are stolen. A tenant started a petition about the security issue. The management won’t respond to some issues. As a result, many tenants left.
Advice to owner:
Start fixing broken bldg, clean the garbage area and the backyard more often, and communicate with tenants – do all these basic things would improve it.

Don’t Be Fooled By The Large Units

Pros:
The unit is sizeable and there’s a dishwasher.
Cons:
The super is a nightmare to deal with, rude and makes you wait forever for everything. There’s constant package theft and occasionally homeless people sleeping in the vestibule. There is a woman who lives in the building next door with a disabled son, who she parks behind this building during the day and just lets him scream uncontrollably.

Pros:
Great water pressure in shower, good location, generally pretty responsive front office
Cons:
Kitchen sink is old and drips, front door of building was open/broken for years(now fixed), amazon packages have been stolen, portal to pay rent is janky.
