Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment unit itself had been updated and it was sufficient. It was not too far from Astoria Blvd. station. They would come spray for bugs once a month.
Cons:
Neighbors were very loud and would throw parties.
Hallways were filthy and had garbage thrown around.
Packages were stolen by neighbors.
Door buzzer was broken and never got fixed even though we asked many times. Always had to run downstairs to let mail or delivery people in.
Could hear cockroaches in the walls and many times find them coming in through cracks.
Property mgt company was terrible and didn’t care about any problems reported.
Was on a very noisy street and around the corner from bars on Steinway. Many drunk people around after the bars closed and didn’t feel the safest.
Advice to owner:
Hallways and building need to be much better maintained. It’s unacceptable to have trash and food all over hallway floors. That certainly doesn’t help the cockroach problem.
