Great location hindered by the terrible landlord

Pros:
Large and fairly spacious. Lots of closer space. Great location near Steinway Street. Very nice and attentive super!
Cons:
Extremely cold in the winter time, landlord is lucky we didn’t report to 311, apartment was way below legal temperatures. Basically no sunlight in the living room and the middle room because of the layout. Bathroom is near the kitchen which requires you to walk through entire apartment.

Noisy neighbors and heatless heaters

Pros:
The apartment is close to all.
Cons:
Heat doesn’t work in two of our rooms. Landlord is explosive. You can hear full conversations of your upstairs neighbors because the walls are so thin. The heaters in our front room don’t work. When I talked to the landlord about it and wanted to do it before a big snowstorm or before I got really cold he basically yelled at me and told me that it’s really hot in that nobody else complained before. We told him on several occasions that the heater is actually ice cold the entire time. It’s been months and he has done nothing.
Advice to owner:
Fix the heat.
