Worst Apartment in Queens
Former Tenant
Pros:
The area is great. It is close to coffee shops, bakeries and places to eat..
Cons:
The apartment was roach infested. It is the reason we moved out. Our neighbor played loud music, had "friends" over at all hours of the night and I had packages go missing while living here. We were told that this was a pet free building yet people still had dogs who would occasionally pooped on the staircase. We once tried to change the lightbulb, but the bulb itself was so rusted into the light socket that it made it impossible to remove without help. 3 months before the end of our lease, our oven's pilot broke. It was never repaired. Our toilet also started to leak when we called the super, he was not in a rush, and told us he could not come in until the next day. We told the super we were leaving a month before our lease ended, the super got mad at us for not giving him a 3-2 month notice. Also the broker was really pushy about letting other people come view the apt during the height of COVID. We had already provided a video of the layout, but she really wanted to let people come in to walk it.
Advice to owner:
You need to get a handle on the roach problem! Fix issues when they occur. Get a super who actually works onsite and is available during decent hours.
