Landlady is crazy
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Now has gas, heat, and hot water
Cons:
- Landlady entered my apartment several times without my consent
- Listing promised amenities that were not there when I moved in. I was told there was going to be a laundry room by the real estate agent, landlady, and super (landlady's husband). When I moved in and asked about it, the landlady told me the realtor lied to me, but her husband said it was "maybe or maybe not" getting built.
- Landlady yelled at me when I asked about repairs or when I got locked out one time
- No heat, hot water, or gas for the first month and landlady expected me to pay full rent
- No gas for 5 months and landlady expected me to pay full rent
- Landlady threatened to send me to jail because I was "giving her problems" when I asked when there was going to be gas
- Constant construction at all hours of the day even at night
- Listing and lease said pets were allowed but then the landlady threatened to remove my pet
- Landlady accused me of lying and made up facts and assumptions about me based on my age and race
- When I tried to pay rent, the landlady slammed the door in my face.
