Super is sub-par.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super quick to empty trash room/recycling.
Cons:
Halls are filthy. Used to be cleaned weekly, now once per month to 6 weeks. Elevator is filthy. Names on bells in vestibule need to be maintained (most are missing or outdated). Super is miserable and highly unprofessional. Constantly complaining. Resents being contacted to do minor repairs, and when he does make repairs, are ridiculously inadequate. Doesn’t know what he’s doing. Super is nasty and disrespectful to many, many tenants. Hates his job.
Advice to owner:
Hire a super who knows what they’re doing. Someone who takes pride in their work. Building is filthy (floors/elevators). Repairs are sloppy and inadequate. Resents being contacted for minor repairs. Constantly complains about having to do anything, talks about other peoples business (tenants and landlords). Guy is just MISERABLE!!
