Cheap disrespectful landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cute prewar building. Fairly maintained. No rats.
Cons:
It is COLD during the winter. I had to keep my jacket on. The landlord is super cheap and keeps the heat at borderline temp. He does not hire professionals to repair anything, so he has to come in to fix the same problem multiple times. He is a creep who makes every excuse to come inside your unit. I CLEARLY told him to notify me ahead before coming in my apt, of course, he didn't and my roomie was just in her underwear when he opened the door without any notice. he just comes in the apt with ANY excuse. "oh I have to check the water" "oh, you are the only tenant in the building who complains about the heat. let me check your radiator" (CLEARLY, looking at all the reviews, I'm not the only one who was surviving the winter wearing my jacket.). Simply, a cheap, creepy, landlord.
Advice to owner:
TURN THE F HEAT! STOP CREEPING ON THE TENANTS.

2019 Review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quite building, nice neighborhood and big bedrooms!
Cons:
It’s ALWAYS soooo cold in the winter, the landlord doesn’t care. I never got my security deposit back even though I followed all the rules to receive back. The landlord lied and said he would give it back and now him and management ignore all my calls and emails. The hallway is always a mess! The inside door always jams. The front door doesn’t lock so people always end up smoking in the hallway that don’t live in the building. Apartment was so old our bathroom ceiling needed to be redone every six months and even that took months to get done! There was someone that lived below us who would play his music REALLY LOUD till 4AM! When we told the landlord the neighbor would hit the ceiling and say “fuck you.” It was a nightly experience! During COVID landlord did NOTHING to help!
Advice to owner:
Keep your apartments updated, turn the heat on and clean the hallway! Get a lock for the front door!
