Not a bad place to live

Pros:
-very responsive landlord -very close to the train -easy to get to central astoria -price reasonable when I rented -current landlord has done a lot of updates to lobby and building systems (heating mostly)
Cons:
-on and off bug problem due to garbage sitting in basement between trash pickups -very thin walls -package theft from outside thieves (landlord has done a lot to try and prevent though) -a lot of honking during the day on the street facing side
Advice to owner:
A different trash solution would be really helpful to the building to prevent the bug issues. Also, lobby and hallway cleaning weekly or bi weekly.

High Astoria Prices with Basic Living

Pros:
The super is helpful. The bldg has new owners who have slowly been repairing and maintaining the bldg. Bldg is close to subway and a small local park and bar. Bldg has access to outside space during warmer months.
Cons:
The walls can seem really thin; you can hear people talking, coughing and laughing. The recycling area gets out of control very quickly and isn’t managed as regularly as it should be. There seems to be a roach issue especially during the winter months however there is an exterminator that comes around once per month.
