BEWARE - Abusive Landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Any pros are completely outweighed by the cons (e.g., there is a lot of space, two balconies... but DONT BE FOOLED)
Cons:
Landlord lives in the building and goes out of his way to harass you, invade your privacy, make you follow insane rules, keep the heat at the legal minimum, and ultimately—when he has driven you so insane you develop trust issues—steals your security deposit.
Whatever you do, whatever your circumstances, no matter how good this apartment may seem, DONT LEASE AN APARTMENT HERE. We brought him to court to get our security deposit back and failed (we “won” the case but you still have to rely on the losing party actually paying you. Guess what, he didn’t). Our upstairs neighbors also went to court with him. Please do yourself a favor and check other reviews. He does this to everyone.
I don’t know how he’s still allowed to be a landlord....
Advice to owner:
Stop psychologically torturing your tenants and stealing their money?
