Pretty good for NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood, amazing super, easygoing landlord.
Cons:
We had a couple of cockroaches in 2 years and one mouse. We are on the third floor.

Decent apartment complex
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super does it all fast, very quiet while being right on Ditmars, no crazy neighbors.
Cons:
Management isn’t super punctual with paperwork, kinda shabby common areas.
Advice to owner:
The hallways could be a lot nicer. Open up the roof, fix the door!!!

Landlord Unresponsive
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the apartment. Newly redone. Beautiful appliances. Gets great sunlight. Laundry in-building.
Cons:
Just the landlord. Probably one of the worst landlords I've had in NYC. Completely evasive if you ever have an issue. We couldn't even set up payment for our rent for about 2 months. When our washer broke down we were given a thousand different excuses and then after a few weeks, we were just completely ghosted. The landlord would not pick up our phone calls. We were 2 months without a washer.
Advice to owner:
Answer your phone. Do your job.

A good experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great super, fantastic location, mostly responsive landlord. All appliances work well, super is exceptionally nice and responsive, apartments are clean and well-maintained.
Cons:
The bar on the corner leads to loud and drunk patrons outside the building at all hours. Fees in lease for move-out. Problems with front door locks and roof access often inaccessible.

Over priced, not worth it, shady management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great. My unit was extremely small and was more of a studio than a 1 bedroom.
Cons:
Property managers are shady and not trustworthy. It was like pulling teeth to have them bill me for the correct rent amount because they were always adding arbitrary fees. We had noisy upstairs neighbors and our complaints went ignored. We had a water leak coming from the noisy neighbors above which left a brown mark on our ceiling and the landlord refused to fix the problem. He said to call them if it gets worse. The apartment is over priced and dated for its value. Packages get taken, management doesn’t take complaints seriously. I was never contacted about my my lease ending or renewal. They don’t give full security back. Check the lease, they charge for moving in and moving out when they have no part in that process
Advice to owner:
Get new owners who aren’t scammers
