I love it here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The landlord/super are incredibly nice and it is cleaned regularly. It is rare to encounter bugs, they keep the heat at a reasonable level in the winter, and besides footsteps from above, I *never* hear the neighbors. Everyone I’ve met here is very very nice.
Cons:
It’s a corner building, so we get street noise from both sides. The cargo van the Stamatis restaurant uses is so loud when it backs up that it actually hurts my ears (and wakes me up when they go to the fish market). The guys who loiter outside of the Coffee Pot can get really loud at night. The building itself is awesome, it’s just outside that can be weird. However, compared to when I lived in Inwood, the noise here is nothing.

Great place to live!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The landlord is responsive and very upfront about any maintenance that will be occurring. Tons of closet space in the units, everyone is very friendly. Building is incredibly quiet, close to the N/W Ditmars stop, and around the corner from great bars and restaurants. Really love it!
Cons:
It's an old building, so with that comes the usual issues - radiator heat that gets very hot in the winter, appliances aren't as up-to-date, but those are manageable issues.
