Better places are out there
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Not as many cockroach sightings as other buildings I've lived in (although I've witnessed mice once)
- Building located in a shaded area under big trees
- Rent never went up
Cons:
- Loud kids upstairs (although they were good people, we can't really help it)
- Loud neighbors in the building behind (frequent parties that go late)
- Landlord that responds slowly to claims (always busy and could be rude when contacted at the wrong timing)
- Recurring plumbing issues because the plumber won't fix the problem completely
- Handyman Raul is uncooperative and harassed me multiple times (saying inappropriate things and not willing to help out with apartment issues without an exorbitant amount of tip). Also he has hard time hearing and it's hard to communicate with him
- Rooms don't get much light
- Really small and limited number of windows in the bedrooms
Advice to owner:
You're not the worst but definitely on the mediocre side. Be kinder to the tenants and stop using Raul as the main handyman because I felt threatened being around him!!
