Close to park, family friendly area, well maintained, noisy neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the park and the area is very family friendly. The building was well maintained and the super constantly kept it clean.
Cons:
Neighbors were very noisy and disrespectful. The walls are kind of thin and my neighbors constantly played their TV extremely loud, played music late at night, and caused other unreasonably loud sounds.
Advice to owner:
Continue to maintain property but enforce noise complaints.

Attractive on the outside
Former Tenant
Pros:
At the time I moved in, the owner lived in the neighborhood. Regular exterminator, no bug problems. External parts of the property were kept up nicely. Location is good, within walking distance of Astoria Park and the subway. It *was* a nice building with good neighbors and low turnover.
Cons:
By the time I left, the sons who live elsewhere were the ones involved in managing property. They spent money to pretty up foyer with fancy chandelier, but not to fix upstairs neighbor’s bathroom that was leaking into my apartment. All the apartments were 2 bedrooms. Now they appear to have been converted to 3 bedrooms (according to StreetEasy) and have been given the gray decor flip treatment along with a bump in rent. Upgrades done in my apartment appeared to have been done hastily, with shoddy workmanship.
