One Bedroom Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlords are very nice and will respond. Garbage area in the back is usually pretty clear.
Cons:
Heat and hot water have gone out a few times in the winter, a handful of times for over 24 hours. I was able hear my neighbors cough and obviously much more than that. Slamming, banging, dropping things, sometimes well past midnight. It can be quite noisy.
Outside of landlords capabilities, there are not a lot of good close grocery store options.
Advice to owner:
With the thinness of the walls, pets shouldn’t be allowed. There was one dog that seems to bark all day when the tenant isn’t home.

Old School Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet neighbors (in building), responsive landlord
Cons:
Small roach problem, shared garbage area between buildings can get out of hand (but the landlord is frequently on premise cleaning it up)

Landlady is a nightmare
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large unit, sunlight in bedroom.
Cons:
Landlady is rude, will falsely accuse you, skimps on repairs, lies, etc. She yelled at me on the phone on numerous occasions and raised the rent after I opened a case against her with the city. This building is NOT worth it.
