Low living quality by poor neighborhood and sloppy management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to subway and LIRR, 2 min walking distance.
Cons:
Building: - thin walls and floors, you can always hear tv and neighbor talking. - seeing roaches every other day.
Neighborhood: - a pub nearby plays loud music right next to the backyard of the building in summer. Last from 7pm to midnight. - food bank storage in the basement of the building. Workers working on Saturday night moving groceries in until midnight, sometimes 1am. - every Sunday, hundreds of people lining outside the apartment building for food bank grocery pick up making noises. The food bank organization also plays loud music to entertain themselves. - constant airplane noise due to that the whole bright hood is on the flight path to LaGuardia airport.
Management - poor garbage management. Garbage came out of garbage can and supers don’t do anything until the garbage day. Stray cat came and dig out garbage for food. - random people have BBQ in the backyard making smells and noise until midnight during summer. - landlord took security deposit with no explanation.
Advice to owner:
Living quality isn’t something you can sacrifice for making money for yourself
