Nightmare - Don’t be fooled with a friendly landlord.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Owner and management were friendly but after moved out - can not follow up with the refund of security deposit. Owner don’t gave any proof of payment. The only pros is location/ near subway station.
Cons:
Check up of the unit was done approximately a month AFTER vacating the unit and without the knowledge of the tenant. No computations of charges for the security deposits. One month security deposits was never returned, roaches found after a month of vacating the unit. Never received proof of payment rental from the owner. Owner was so friendly enough to trust her not to request receipt for 2 years. Can’t complain from the management because pay direct to the owner’s bank, no proof of payment. Management not helpful with my requested security deposit.
Advice to owner:
Please be honest. Return the security deposit. It is not your tenant’s fault if sewer line of other unit, broke and poured into your precious apartment.
