The facade is better than the inside
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to transportation and shopping.
Cons:
Minimal to no heat in the winter.
Noisy neighbors.
Landlord charges for water, which is illegal in rent stabilized apartments.
Landlord always finds a reason to do a major capital improvement, which gets pushed off on the tenants and added to the already ridiculously high rent.
Horrible outdoor space. No place for kids to ride their bikes or scooters.
Advice to owner:
Fix the inside of the apartments, they're falling apart. Provide sufficient heat during the winter, so the tenants can stop using space heaters and their stove to heat up the apartment. It would also be nice if you enforced the rules of the lease and deal with noisy neighbors accordingly.

You get what you pay for?
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to everything. Apartments are spacious and relatively clean. affordable
Cons:
Roaches, mice, urine in stairwell. Workers are very slow to come fix things. Heat works poorly and management doesn’t care to fix. Packages always a hassle to find.
