Bad Management & Terrible Sound Proofing
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice laundry machines and loved my renovated kitchen as well.
Cons:
I have lived in many apartments in NYC and this is by far the worst in terms of sound. I can hear when my neighbors drop anything, walk, or play music and had to invest in ear plugs (although that didn't help much.) I smell cigarette/cigar smoke often coming from other units nearby. The worst issue however is how little the management company and the superintendent communicate and work to solve issues.

Mice Motel
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s a pretty safe area and building. Lots of parks nearby with tree lined streets.
Cons:
The building is full of cockroaches, mice and water bugs—I t’s infested! Management has a free extermination service but they basically spray water. Also, a lot of the tenants will improperly dispose of food items, it’s common to see open/uncovered food items in the incinerator room. People will literally put an entire loaf of bread with no bag, etc.
Packages that are delivered via Amazon, UPS, etc., are sometimes stolen from the lobby.
During the beginning of the pandemic, the management raised the rent the highest it had ever raised it in over 10 years.
Advice to owner:
Pay for a competent pest control service for the entire building. You have an infestation of roaches and mice that needs to be addressed asap!
