RENTERS BEWARE - TERRIBLE LANDLORDS
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location was convenient
Cons:
Landlords are terrible people. First, they did not inform me the the apartment has the potential to flood and just flooded last year. A couple of months after I moved in the apartment did in fact flood, damaging a lot of my property. Their excuse was since the last flood was a natural disaster they didn't have to let me know. Took them over two months to finally start working on the floors, after chasing them for a response, to no avail. They first said it would take 2 months to fix the floors, which was unacceptable so I talked them down to 1 month. When I returned, the apartment was COVERED in dust and dirt, everywhere and on everything . They didn't cover anything even though I left drop cloths for them, on top of using all of my personal items in my kitchen to eat, my gas which I received a bill in the same amount that I pay when I'm staying there, when the landlord lives right upstairs and can use his own stuff. Incurring even more damages to my personal items while fixing the floors. When I brought it to their attention they just said hire a cleaning lady, on my dime. Now that I finally left, the landlord tries to nitpick at every single speck of dirt, trying not to give me back my deposit. They made me repaint the walls back to the original color, which the wife had given me the paint color name, then the husband tried saying it's the wrong color so he's not going to give me my money. Trying every which way to not return my security. I moved out after just 7 months. RENTERS BEWARE!!!
