Terrible management, good building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is great, very kind, knowledgeable and helpful when needed. Some good neighbors. The views are nice on the roof. And the area is super convenient, literally 3 24-hour marts within .5 miles.
Cons:
Price is high for a studio and there was a pest problem within my first week here. Roaches and centipedes; exterminator came by within a few days but it didn’t do much. Actually made the problem worse so I stopped letting them in and managed to keep my apartment clean 24/7 and got a cat to neutralize the issue. Still one roach every few weeks but the problem was resolved. The super is great, but building management is AWFUL. They do not pay attention to you or whatever issue you’re addressing. I’ve also heard such from other neighbors, too. Management assured me that I have a parking spot ready upon moving in, NOPE! Took me 2 months of hassling them for the spot I was promised and I finally signed the parking lease. They gave me the spot in the very back corner near the garbage and difficult to get in and out. They kept my driver’s license from when I signed the lease and when I called to pick it up, they said come by anytime during that day. I came by before closing, and they said it was gone!! I should have sued them. I was livid, they said my license was left in a white envelope on the counter all day. It’s a NYS legal identification card…WHY would they leave it for some random person to take??? It was gone and they pretended to look for it behind the counter, after the lady had already confessed that it was gone and taken by somebody. I had to pay a replacement fee for that and management didn’t cover it. I was so angry, had to go weeks without my ID. Not to mention it took them over a month to give me my mailbox key.
