Not acceptable in today's rental market.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Located in a safe and pleasant area of Queens, close to the subway and shopping.
Cons:
It is DIRTY. The floors are FILTHY. The landlord has been apprised of this but doesn't care. He thinks it is enough to mop and wax over ingrained filth. The floors have not been rotary scrubbed at least TWENTY years. The white marble of the lobby looks as though someone spread mud over it and wiped it off with a tissue. And there are often live and dead cockroaches in the hallways, which are left there for a week at a time. DISGUSTING.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the property the way the original owner used to. He made sure it was as clean as possible. People want to live decently, not in pig pens.
