Clean apartment with good management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The space is fairly large and it is well maintained
Cons:
They allow a lot of dogs in the building, and it can get very noisy here.
Advice to owner:
They are responsive, but the condo board can get passive aggressive with their signage

Overall Great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very well kept building, safe neighborhood, great pest control (can count on one hand the number of times I’ve encountered a roach/water bug in my apartment in the past 6 years), friendly porters, spacious 24 hour laundry room.
Cons:
Neighbors are a little nosy, strict building rules, parking & storage have long waitlists

Great location and well looked after building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean building, always looked after and improving services. Nice super and his team are friendly and supportive.
Cons:
Elevator number indicators were not working for long time but fixed since.
Advice to owner:
Keep it up!

Should be better
Former Tenant
Pros:
Plenty of hot water
Decent water pressure
Nice lobby
Cons:
Noise: Never at peace. You hear every single step from upstairs and creaking floorboards. You hear the nonstop humming from the generators on the roof of the adjacent building. You hear the humming and feel vibration from neighbors’ AC units all summer.

Renovations: quality control is seriously lacking. I moved into a “renovated” apartment with many issues. Three out of four doors would get stuck, a fire escape window didn’t lock, no smoke alarm, kitchen and bathroom renovations included nice finishes but sloppy work with blue painters tape still holding things together, cabinet doors poorly hung, unremovable glue on tiles, etc. When building staff was called on to make repairs, work was also sloppy or unable to be completed. When outside contractors were called, they were unreliable.

Management: unresponsive and unorganized.

Cleanliness: being that there are several supers/porters, the building should be cleaner. They sweep/mop the halls weekly, if that. The lobby coffee table collects dust for weeks. Water bugs in the basement and laundry room which isn’t rare in these old buildings I guess but it could all just be cleaner. I’ve lived in cleaner buildings that just had 1 super.
