A year of miscommunication
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building itself it’s very nice, the backyard space fair.
Cons:
Management doesn’t maintain the building as they should. The 3rd floor ceiling leaks near the staircase when it’s raining which is a hazard. Ventilation vents haven’t been clean and are dusty, horrible for people with allergies.
Advice to owner:
Be more understanding and help tenants instead of neglecting them when issues arise

Maintenance Issues Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is a nice building in a nice quiet area
Cons:
Plenty of maintenance issues. I moved in to an apt that was not painted or cleaned. I asked the landlord who just yessed me but did nothing. The yard that is such a sweet part of the deal is overgrown and I got yessed about that too. They finally mopped the floors after a month but need to clean once a week. There is just one washer and dryer and super expensive since you have to dry multiple times. Rent is way too high for this place.
Advice to owner:
Maintain the building. Its not that difficult. Bi weekly gardening and cleaning. Dont be cheap and dont let people move into apts with spaghetti stains on the walls

Very very Frustrating
Former Tenant
Pros:
The ceilings are very high, and the neighborhood is gorgeous. Its a quiet area and the church across the street is beautiful.
Cons:
Where do i start....

- This building rarely gets cleaned, the floors are dirty and everything is a mess. The ceiling on the top floor is falling apart and there is literal ceiling pieces scattered all over the floor. Management neither cleans it up, nor inspects the ceiling for obvious and serious damage.
- The amenities in this building are falsely advertised. There is no gym as it says many times, nor a pool table. Laundry does exist but hardly ever works. There have been many complaints to management and nothing is done. You have to dry your clothes 3 times just to not run upstairs with damp jeans. The backyard is overgrown and it takes begging for them to cut the grass, even when asked they tell us we should do it ourselves. The fire pit does not work and has a large whole right in the middle, yet they don't move it because its nice and misleading to everyone else. This buildings amenities are NOT worth paying for whatsoever.
- Apartments are barely cleaned after move out, air conditioning vents were horrifying and disgusting and the ceilings are so high theres little we can do without managements help.
- Hot water runs out quickly!!!! Hardly enough for one shower, barely enough to do a sink of dishes. Ive lived in places with small hot water heaters but this was unreal. 4 of us trying to shower and clean the kitchen with only 15 mins of hot water at most. Our bills are always payed on time, this is a building problem.
- bugs and black maggots were found crawling out of the bathroom walls around the bathtub. Management just sealed it up with some caulk that is falling out, so those pests will most definitely be back since the problem was not properly handled.
Advice to owner:
Do better. You have the ability to, so why don't you?
