Great location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very close to both M and L trains. A supermarket is a block away. The apartment 3L is beautiful and new.
Cons:
Right next to the train racks. You’ll hear the trains pass by.
Apartment 3L leaks!! Every time it rains there’s a leak in the bathroom and the smallest room. The owner was told numerous times and nothing significant was ever done. The ceiling would come down and they would just paint it back up. And it just looks alright till the next rainstorm. Aggravating. Then when it was time to renew the lease they DARED to tell us the rent is going up if we continue living there and when we mentioned the constant leaks they acted oblivious to the whole thing. “I didn’t know there was an issue”. So the countless emails and you telling us it’ll get fixed doesn’t ring a bell? Very frustrating. Moved out as soon as the lease was over.
Advice to owner:
When there’s a reoccurring issue that the tenants are complaining about it needs to be fixed so it doesn’t happen again. Not make it look like it was fixed and give people false promises.

Rats live in the walls
Former Tenant
Pros:
First tenant after it was recently gut renovated
New appliances
Good space
Laundry in unit
Storage space in basement
Backyard
Cons:
TERRIBLY cheap and incomplete construction
Many leaks
Rats live in walls
Holes in ceiling for months
Building management not helpful
Backyard gets flooded infested with bugs, mosquitos, and mulberries in spring/summer
Not much light
Under the elevated train, very loud
Security cameras don’t work/ aren’t accessible if needed
Small bedrooms
Advice to owner:
There are many places to live in Brooklyn. Be more helpful to your tenants, create an environment that people want to live. Have Pride in the buildings you own and manage. Foster community. Don’t just treat us as a business.
